E-MAIL: Donna Olsen, donna.olsen@dfrc.nasa.gov. NASA/DFRC plans to issue a Request for Offers for Rehab Fire Mains, Tanks and Valves. This project will provide NASA-Dryden with a reliable looped fire protection main system by the installation of approximately 1800 meters of 508 mm diameter PVC underground piping. Also included will be the installation of new sectional valves, PIV valves, and fire hydrants. A bid option will provide for the cleaning and relining of two existing fire water storage tanks (1,500,000 liters and 1,900,000 linter). The fire hydrants are a proprietary item. Only Clow Hydrants Model 860 will be accepted. This procurement is being conducted under the NASA MidRange Pilot Test Program approved by the Office of Federal Procurement Policy. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $500K-$1 million and the effort shall be completed within 240 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is full and open competion. The Standard Industrial Classification Code for the procurement is 1542. The corresponding size standard is $17 millon. The anticipated release date of the RFO is on or about April 30, 1997 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about June 3, 1997. The firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFO. Drawings will be available from the identified point of contact. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
