Clayton, (914) 737-4400, ext. 2077 The contractor shall completely prepare the site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures and furnish labor, supervision, materials and rental equipment, including dumpsters as necessary to provide and install replacement windows as required by drawings and specifications for Project 620-97-120, Replace Windows, Buildings 27, 29 and 31 at the Department of Veterans Affairs FDR VA Hospital, Montrose, NY 10548. Work includes but is not limited to the following: Performance of all demolition work required fro removal of existing steel grills, insect and detention screens, steel, wood or aluminum frames and sashes, and all that is required to prepare the openings for the installation of replacement windows. Remove and reinstall all existing lintels, air conditioners, vents, grills, etc. Windows with existing accessories and equipment shall have accessories remounted into replacement windows. Contractor shall supply new mounting hardware and new panels for these items. The Contractor shall also supply same size inserts, glazed at bottom sash for use as replacement units when accessory or equipment is removed. Provide and install replacement windows, including screens as indicated on the contract drawings. Estimated construction cost range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Issue date is on or about 5/16/97. BOD is 6/17/97 at 2:00PM. Plans and specifications will be issued on a first come first serve basis as there are only 30 copies available. There is no fee for plans and specs. Requests should be in writing, no telephone or fax request will be honored. Award is subject to the availability of funds. The SIC is 1793. See Note(s): 12.
