This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation F33601-97-Q-0774 is a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. This is a small business set-aside procurement. The associated Standard Industrial Code (SIC) for this procurement is 3663, and the small business size standard is 750 employees. There are four line items for (0001) digital waveform monitor, 1 each, (0002) digital audio mixer, 1 each: (0003) compact disc player, 1 each: and (0004) DAT recorder, 1 each. Description: The requirement is for the purchaseand installation of Sony and Videotek broadcast digital equipment. The equipment must interface with an existing Sony Digital Betacam system and only the items specified will be accepted. Item 0001: Digital waveform monitor/vectorscope. Serial component waveform monitor with the following features to analyze digital transport layers: Eye pattern display, 2 speed timebase, ANC data identification. 1700F05 rackmount and 1700 panel. Required item is Technical Industries P/N WFM-601i. Item 0002: Serial digital audio 16 channel mixer. 32 input capability, built-in 32x16 AES/EBU routing switcher, 32 channel control mode, 4 channel program outputs, 4 channel analog and digital preview output with DMBK-3000 EQ. Required item is Sony P/N DMX-E3000PAC2. Item 0003: Pro CD player. D/A converter, 18 bit 8 times oversampling, 2 channel stereo, CIRC error correction, less than 0.01% harmonioc distortion, 35 watt power consumption, 10 pin remote control CDS-3100 control unit, DABK-3102 Sys i/f board and DABK-3101 memory board. Required item is Sony P/N CDP-3100. Item 0004: DAT recorder. Absolute time code recording, external synchronization controlled by BVE-9100 editor, subcoding, ID search, RAW and RMW capability, variable speed recording and 2 RCC 5C/US RS-422 cables. Required item is Sony P/N PCM-7040PAC. The contractor shall be responsible for installation and will provide any necessary cables and components to perform the installation and to ensure that the equipment on this solicitation will interface with the existing equipment. Offerors shall provide information regarding the factory training and experience of the technicians who will be performing the installation. This information is required to ensure that existing warranties are not voided. Date of delivery is 90 days after receipt of order; place of delivery and acceptance is Wright-Patterson AFB OH.
