gibson.karen@epamail.epa.gov.. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
intends to negotiate sole source with Multimedia Envirosoft
Corporation, 5200 West Century Boulevard, Suite 950, Los Angeles, CA
90045 for support and training for enhancing capabilities to use and
understand multimedia compartmental models for exposure research on
endocrine disruptors. The Contractor shall provide four software site
licenses consisting of four seats each of the complete Integrated
Spatial Multimedia Compartmental Modeling System (ISMCM). This system
includes the Multimedia Chemical Distribution Model, CHEMBASE, the
Intermedia Transfer Factor Predictor (ITFP) for Multimedia Analysis,
the Multimedia Aquatic Chemical Distribution Model, the Aquatic
Bioaccumulation Food Chain Model and the Multimedia Total Dose (MTD)
Model. These licenses include compiled, executable software only. The
Contractor shall coordinate in the development and presentation of
ISMCM software system training and training materials at two levels of
instruction. The Contractorshall conduct a 1-day class directed
towards basic scientists. The Contractor shall conduct a 1-week
workshop directed towards EPA scientists who will apply the model to
address specific research and planning issues as well as those expected
to contribute to the critical evaluation of ISMCM output/performance fo
EDC exposure assessment. The Contractor shall provide ISMCM system
consultation services to EDC exposure team members as they perform and
interpret ISMCM application model runs, and evaluate the suitability
of ISMCM for inclusion in, or adaptation to a modeling system for the
assessment of human and ecological endocrine disruptor exposure risk.
EPA believes that Multimedia Envirosoft Corporation is the only vendor
capable of satisfying the requirements stated above. Multimedia
Envirosoft Corporation has the fully documented and supported version
of ISMCM that has not been modified. The period of performance is
expected to be from date of award through September 30, 1998. No
solicitation is available.All interested parties must respond within 15
days of the date of this announcement. Interested vendors shall:
1)include information on the proposed services which clearly supports
the requirements outline above and; 2) provide itemized pricing that is
sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. Submit
