Starkie, 202-565-6233,FAX 202-565-5086 A response is requested from interested parties who would qualify and bid this construction project if it were limited to Small Business Competition as defined by FAR 52.219 -- The project to be constructed using the metric measuring systems and includes an approximately 60 acre development for Phase 1 of a master plan for the 350 acre site, with an estimated cost range of between $5,000,000 and $10,000.000. The following elements and features are included: clearing and grading, entrance area, public information building, administration and maintenance complex, flag and assembly area, 2 committal shelters, approximately 13,000 gravesites, 1,500 columbarium niches, 1,000 garden niches, 1,335 lawn crypts, a roadway system, site drainage, septic system, site furnishings, gas, water, and electric utility systems, a deep potable water well, and a Hudson River water intake structure and pump house for a 60 acre irrigation system. -- Bidders will be required to furnish performance bonds and representations/certifications to comply with Small Business Limitations.- Only Prime/General Contractors are to respond -- Replies shall be submitted as a certified letter stating that they are a Small Business Prime/General Contractor who would bid the Construction Project and request that they be placed on the mailing list to receive the Presolicitation Notice. -- They shall be addressed to and received by the Contracting Officer (185B), Room 559, Lafayette Building, 811 Vermont Avenue N.W., Washington, DC 20420, no later than 1:00PM (EST), May 16, 1997.- This is not a Request for proposal or a Solicitation to Bid.
