Heath The solicitation will replace one hundred forty (140) power poles that are in either bad condition, or poor condition but have crossarms that are in bad or poor condition. The project will provide new poles, crossarms, ground conductors and rods. Reuse insulators, guys, and other equipment where possible. Make miscellaneous repairs, as directed; and, replace twenty-seven (27) obsolete transformer "H -- Platform" installations with pad-mounted transformers. Provide new pole and crossarms for riser. Provide direct buried duct (with spare) on primary and secondary. This solicitation has been classified as UNRESTRICTED and subject to the evaluation criteria contained in DFARS 252.219-7008 entitled "NOTICE OF EVALUATION PREFERENCE FOR SMALL DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS CONCERNS -- CONSTRUCTION ACQUISITION -- TEST PROGRAM (APR 1996)." Estimated Cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Estimated duration of the contract is 210 days for completion. Bid Opening Date is hereby re-established as 19 June 1997.
