Ramos, Contracting Officer PRESOLICITATION NOTICE. Eglin AFB, FL has a requirement to Repair Bear Creek Marina, Eglin AFB FL, damaged by Hurricane Opal. Bid opening date of 23 June 1997 is only an estimated date. The performance period is 90 calendar days. In general, the works shall consist of replacing the wooden docks, area lighting, and boat slip power and water hookups. The project includes landscaping to include placing and compacting Florida Department of Transportation (FLDOT) Graded Aggregate Base and installing a vinyl coated fence. Approximately 60 boat slips shall be replace along with supporting water, electrical, and area lighting. The power requirements shall include marine grade 30 amp connects and normal 20 amp connects. The water utility requirements allow for 1 hose bib for every other boat slip. Estimated dollar range is between $100,000 and $250,000. All responsible sources may submit a bid that shall be considered by the agency. Firms responding should indicate if they are a small business. Solicitation packages are available at a $20.00 charge. All requests must be submitted in writing.
