Estimated Cost Range: $100,000 to $250,000. Abbreviated Summary of Work: 1) Remove two (2) existing cooling towers; 2) Provide two (2) new cooling towers; 3) Provide new elevated support for cooling tower and catwalk for maintenance; and 4) Provide new electrical service to new cooling towers from existing variable speed drive. Construction Performance Period: 154 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages: $400 per day of delay. A pre-bid conference/site visit for this project is scheduled for Thursday, May 29, 1997, at 10:00 AM at the following location: State Department -Beltsville Information Management Center, 8101 Odell Road, Beltsville, Maryland. The contractor shall visit the site to become familiar with existing conditions that might affect the bid. The contractor will be held responsible to be on notice regarding all visible site conditions, whether he visits the site or not.
