Work consists of: The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, transportation, tools, equipment, and services to replace existing 240 volt smoke detectors with 24 VDC intelligent smoke detectors in building 1003 on Onizuka Air Station. It shall include but not limited to, addressable smoke detectors (498), Cerberus Pyrotronics fire alarm panel (MXLR) complete with analog alarm modules, card cages, signal circuit modules, main and remote power supplies, and network interface module. Addressable manual pull stations (19), strobe lights (90), combination strobe lights/bells (12), alarm bells (56) and auxiliary power supply/notification circuit expander shall be provided as indicated in the contract drawings. The work shall also include software programming, adjustment and testing of the new fire alarm system. Demolition and removal of high voltage smoke detectors and wiring shall be accomplished after completion of the new fire detection system and shall include replacement of ceiling tiles vacated by the removal of high voltage smoke detectors. Estimated cost range is: $250,000 to $500,000. Bid opening is scheduled for O/A: 16 JUN 97. Performance period is: One Hundred-Fifty (150) days after the Notice to Proceed.
