Z -- REMOVE/REPLACE PLYGROUND EQUIPMENT, REPAIR/UPGRADE STREET CIRCLES, REPLACE FENCE WITH PRIVACY FENCE, MILITARY FAMILY HOUSING SOL F4168597R0025 DUE 062097 POC Roger Thompson, Contracting OFFICER, (210) 298-5118 or Juanita Vasquez (210) 298-5115 The work includes, but is not limited to furnishing all plant labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, transportation and services necessary to Remove/Replace Playground Equipment, Repair/Upgrade Street Circles and Replace Fence with Privacy Fence. Demolition and disposal of existing playground and benches from designated areas required. Removal and disposal of excess soils as required to meet existing grades at location where new playground equipment, surfacing benches are to be installed. Add compacted fill to provide proper drainage where slopes/craters are existing. Regrade with fill to remove all ponding and re-seed around existing and new playground equipment, athletic surfacing and site furnishings. The work required to Repair/Upgrade Street Circles includes demolition of concrete curbing, asphaltic pavement, and necessary utilities in 13 traffic circles in the residential area. Existing utilities are to be left in place if possible. Construction of new curb and gutter section to accomodate new turning radii is required. Construct new ramps to comply with American Disabilities Act at all sidewalks within and adjacent to traffic circles. Reconstruction of all utilities system within the traffic circles and repair damage caused to any adjoining landscaping irrigation as a result of the demolition work. Reconstruction of all utilities and drainage structures within the traffic circles and those damaged by the demolition. Repair of all electrical and lighting facilities in the traffic circle. Installation of new sidewalks constructed out of pavers in the traffic circles. The work required to Replace Fence with Privacy Fence includes demolition and disposal of existing chain link fencing. Temporary installation of chain link fencing to maintain enclosures at locations where existing removal of same upon completion of work. Removal and disposal of existing excess soil due to new footings is required. Instllation of new concrete block privacy walls. Reinstallation of existing chain link fencing between yards as well as modifications to same as required to butt to new privacy walls. Grading and landscaping is required to match existing ground. This solicitation will be issued as full and open competition. Project requirements will be made available on or about 23 May 97. Approximate closing date is 23 Jun 97. The applicable small business size standard for interested small business concerns, including their affiliates, is not more than $17 million in average annual receipts for the preceding three years. The standard industrial classification code is 1629. All replies to this notice must be in writing. Magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Requests for this solicitation must be in writing. Telephone requests will not be honored. There will be $50.00 fee sor each set requested. A set consists of one each solicitation, specifications, and drawings. Payment must be made in the form of a cashier's check. Other forms of payment will not be accepted.
