THE CORRECT TITLE AND PROJECT NUMBERS IS AS FOLLOWS: Upgrade Underground Electrical Distribution System, (Proj. No.s CR5-96, C6-96 and R10-96), Naval Air Station, Fort Worth, JRB, Texas. The project will upgrade the underground electrical distribution system in the 4200 Weapons Area in order to provide a tie between Feeder No.s four (4) and six (6); Upgrade the underground electrical distribution systems in the North Weapons Storage Area in order to eliminate inadequate sized manholes. Replace round manholes MH 4-45 through MH 4-53 with full size manholes. Replace existing primary conductors with new conductors. Remove existing ductbanks and construct new ductbanks as necessary to improve system order. The project will upgrade the underground electrical distribution system in the Alert Apron Area in order to eliminate taped "T" splices in manholes, to eliminate inadequately sized manholes/handholes, to eliminate the clutter that presently exist where secondary and communication cables are installed in the same manholes/handles as primary conductors, and to eliminate the backfed primary circuits that supplied emergency power to the Alert Apron Lighting Transformers. This solicitation has been classified as UNRESTRICTED and subject to the evaluation criteria contained in DFARS 252.219-7008 entitled "NOTICE OF EVALUATION PREFERENCE FOR SMALL DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS CONCERNS -- CONSTRUCTION ACQUISITION -- TEST PROGRAM (APR 1996)." Estimated Cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Estimated duration of the contract is 180 days for completion. Bid Opening Date is hereby re-established as 19 June 1997.
