49 -- RECYCLING/RECLAMATION SYSTEM SOL F08650-97-TC-659 DUE 061797 POC Lear Matus, Contract Specialist (407) 494-9512/Jimmy McDaniel, Contracting Officer (407) 494-7227 The government has a requirement for a metal can/oil filter crusher, Enviro Care Kruncher Corp model RS43590 or equal. This is a commercial buy. A. The crusher must meet the following criteria and perform the following operations: 1) Fully automatic operation after hopper is filled; 2) Computer controlled operations and system management; 3) Hold approximately 400 uncrushed oil filters in a hopper; 4) Must process cans up to 1 gallon in size, i.e. empty paint cans, food cans, empty aerosol cans, and used oil filters; 5) Have a 40-gallon capacity minimum holding tank for collection of liquids; 6) Magnetic separator to remove fine metal particles from liquid holding tank prior to liquids entering pump; 7) Have a transfer pump from the liquid holding tank with a standard 2-inch threaded pipe connection with cut off valve; 8) Transfer pump must pump wet or dry; 9) Outer casing/hood must be power operated for ease of cleaning interior of machine; 10) Crusher must automatically discharge metal brick once maximum density is obtained. B. Output product and average size: 1) Must produce a high density block (not puck) of metal approximately 3 x 3 x 7 inches; 2) Extremely dense metal brick must have minimum of 98% liquid removed. C. Power requirements: 3 phase, 208 volts, 60 cycle. D. Electrical motor requirements: 1) 10 horse power minimum; 2) Multi-axis hydraulic compaction; 3) Hydraulic oil cooler. E. Size requirements: Must not exceed 8 ft long x 5 ft wide x 5 ft high. Maximum height when outer case open, 9 ft. This acquisition is unrestricted.
