seeking to identify potential sources for a Ku-band transponder for the
Global Broadcast Service (GBS)/Joint in Theater Injection (JITI)
terminal. The Ku-band transponder must be capable of meeting the
following criteria: Contract Period: 01 August thru 31 August 1997,
Connectivity: Broadcast; Operation Type: Simples; Duration: Full time
use (exclusive); Transmit Site: Seoul, Korea; Data Rate: 24 Mbps;
Uplink CF: 14.4177 Ghz; Downlink CF: 12.1177 Ghz; Bandwidth: Ku band;
Receive Site: Osan, Seoul, Uijongbu, Peyong Tek and Taegu; Number of
links: Broadcast to 4 sites. Antenna specifications are as follows:
Uplink: Type -- Andrews 3.7 Meter G/T Transportable Trifold ESA37AP-1,
TFD2124 ESA -- 2 port Ku band feed; Downlink: Size -- 1 meter, L-Band,
Receive only, IRD: (Set top box) RCA DRD2030RW. All responsible and
