Contractor shall supply (1) 6 Channel Ka Band Programmable Microwave Power Meter consisting of the following: Model 4300 RF Power Meter (main frame), Model 4311 Universal Channel Module, Model 4321 30 MHZ Programmable Calibrator, Model 95004391A Rack Mount Kit, and Model 51072 30 MHZ 40 Ghz Power Sensor. Also the contractor shall provide another 6 Channel Ka Band Programmable Microwave Power Meter with the same specifications above except shall include Model 51015 (5E) Sensor instead of the Model 51072 Sensor. This award is intended to be awarded on a sole source basis to Boonton Electronics, c/o Scientific Devices East, Ridgefield Park, NJ. The item identified above is the only known microwave (6) channel power meter with automated multi-channel simultaneous measurement capability, ideal for automated test systems. An extensive search of literature was performed as well as direct contact with the (2) leading manufacturers of commercial power meters. Boonton electronics was found to be the only manufacturer that could provide an instrument that satisfied this important criteria.
