Written quotations will be required. The RFQ will be issued on or about
13 May 1997. Anticipated award date is on or about 01 July 1997. Work
terms are to provide all labor, material, and equipment necessary to
perform drydock repairs including the following items: 1) Welding
Repairs, 2) Air Test Skeg, 3) Clean/Inspect Port and Starboard Diesel
Fuel Tanks, 4) Preserve Aluminum Underwater Body, 5) Ultrasonic
Testing, 6) Temporary Logistics, 7) Drydocking of the Boat, 8) Modify
Trim Tabs, etc. Vessel's homeport is Charleston, SC. Vessel length is
41 foot 8" Utility boat. Vessel availability schedule is 04 Aug 1997
for 30 days. The place of performance for this vessel is restricted as
follows: The Coast Guard will transport the vessel to and from a
mutually agreed point within a 50 nautical mile, safe operating radius
of the Coast Guard facility. If the proposed repair facility is
outside of the 50-nautical mile, safe operating radius, the contractor
shall be responsible for transportation beyond the 50 Nm radius and
return to within the 50Nm radius. There will be a non refundable charge
of $100.00 required in the form of a certified check or money order
payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. All other
referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street,
Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. All responsible sources may submit a quotation
which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. This

has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged

for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
