S. Postal Service is seeking minority and woman-owned businesses to
manufacture spare parts for automated mail processing equipment
according to Postal drawings and specifications. Interested suppliers
must respond within 30 calendar days from the date of this publication.
No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received;
however, the information will be used to prequalify a limited number of
M/WOBE for future purchases of both metal and/or plastic fabricated
spare parts for mail processing equipment. Interested suppliers must
meet the following criteria and furnish the following information: (1)
commitment to quality, briefly outlining a current, written quality
assurance plan and an inspection system in accordance with ISO 9002 or
equal; (2) a listing of awards received for quality products and
on-time delivery; (3) must be an established business for at least 3
years; and (4) a listing of manufacturing capabilities such as current
staffing and levels of experience (i.e., number of certified welders,
machinists, etc.), and extent of dependency on subcontractor(s). All
