(4) elevated water storage tanks for OSHA compliance. Tank No. 1 & 2 --
Modify existing climb prevention screen, and add new climb prevention
screens to seven (7) tower legs. Add new safety cages at top of the
fixed (ground to platform) ladder, and to the top of the vertical
segment of the revolving ladder. Add new intermediate landing to the
existing platform. Add new intermediate landing to the rooftop segment
of the revolving ladder. Add new fall-arrest safety post to the
rooftop segment of this revolving ladder. Add new handrails to the
existing handrail System. Remove a portion of the existing handrail and
designated ladder rungs at the top of the fixed ladder. Tank No. 4 --
Add a new fall- arrest safety post to the full length of the revolving
ladder. Modify existing climb prevention screen. Tank No. 5 -- Modify
the existing climb prevention screen. Add a new fall-arrest safety
rail to the fixed ladder (ground to platform: 88' approximate length).
Add a new fallarrest safety post to the entire length of the revolving
ladder. Remove the top nine (9) feet (+/-) of the existing safety cage
mounted to the fixed ladder and replace with a new caged ladder
segment. Add new handrails to the existing handrail system. Remove a
portion of the existing handrail and designated ladder rungs at the top
of the fixed ladder. Work includes the removal of lead-based paint
(LBP) from the existing structure to facilitate installation of new
work. The period of performance is 60 calendar days. Forth coming
contract will be firm-fixed price. The estimated range for this project
is $25,000 to $100,000. This acquisition is issued pursuant to the
"Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988" and subsequent
award will be subject to the Small Business Competitiveness
Demonstration Program. Therefore, this solicitation is Unrestricted.
For the purpose of determining Small Business size, SIC 1799 for this
acquisition the average annual receipts of a concern and its affiliates
for the preceding three fiscal years must not exceed $7 million. This
project is subject to the availability of funds. Fort Campbell
Directorate of Contracting is testing the use of Internet for issuing
