762-6461. Potential sources sought. The Coast Guard is seeking
qualified sources to consider in an award of a contract for Paxman
Parts. Parts are manufactured by Paxman Diesel LTD. Various quantities
-- Delivery will be F.O.B. Destination, U.S. Coast Guard YARD,
Baltimore, MD. Contract to be a twelve (12) month requirements contract
with two (2) one year options to extend the term of the contract. It is
the Government's belief that the items required can only be obtained
from authorized distributors such as: Chand Corp., Marine Systems,
Inc., Allied Technical Services and Sun Power, Inc. If there are other
authorized distributors, you are required to provide authorized
distributorship from Paxman LTD Diesel to the U.S. Coast Guard within
15 days of this announcement. However, other potential sources having
the expertise and required capabilities can submit such data discussing
the same in duplicate within 15 days from the date of this
announcement. The following information must be provided to evaluate
the accep~tability of the offered parts: (1) Complete and current
engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered parts
(i.e. salient physical, functional and serviceability
characteristics), or (2) Data that the offered parts have been
satisfactorily manufactured for the government or the original
equipment manufacturer. This notice is for informational purposes for
Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The
Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged
Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women
owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term
workinq capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans
are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime
interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum
line of credit is $500,000.00. For further information and applicable

information concerning the acquisition, contact the contracting officer
