Shedlock, Production Engineer, (908)532-5733 E-MAIL: CECOM POC,
shedlock@doim6.monmouth.army.mil. THIS IS A MARKET SURVEY TO DETERMINE
THE AVAILABILITY OF A COMMERCIAL-OFF-THE-SHELF (COTS) 500amp POWER
SUPPLY; THIS EQUIPMENT (PRODUCT) MUST BE ALREADY COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE
TO CONSUMERS. THIS POWER SUPPLY MUST SATISFY THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: INPUT: 200-245VAC, 3 phase, 50 and 60 Hz
operation, 100amps(max) OUTPUT: 28VDC (nominal) at 50 and 60Hz
operation, 26-36VDC allowable adjustment range for 60Hz operation,
28-31VDC allowable adjustment range for 50Hz operation; 500amps
continuous AC INPUT/DC OUTPUT Wiring Connections: shall be compatible
with electrical wiring hook-up configuration of the existing power
supply used with the AN/ASM-189(), so that NO modification is required
to the van for installation of the power supply. A detailed
description of the wiring connections can be provided by the government
POC below via FAX, if required/requested by the vendor. OUTPUT CURRENT
REGULATION: Static, +/- 0.25%; Dynamic, 5v @ 1/2 load, 8v @ full load.
RESPONSE TIME: 100 milliseconds (max) for 63% reduction of transient DC
VOLTAGE RANGE: Continuous adjustment available over the entire range.
RIPPLE VOLTAGE: 1% RMS (max) SAFETY: The power supply shall meet
applicable requirements/standards of the NEC and Underwriters
Laboratories Inc 1012. The operator will not be exposed to energy shock
as defined IAW UL 1950, para 2.1.10. Equipment grounding shall comply
with NFPA 70-93, art. 250 and UL 1950, para 1.6.3 and sect. 2.5.
Operator accessible parts shall comply with temperature limits of UL
1950, table 16, part 2. Safety markings and labels shall comply with
ANSI Z535.4. Safety labels complying with UL 1950, para 1.7.15 and/or
UL 969 are acceptable. TEMPERATURE/ENVIRONMENTAL: Operating, +55 to +95
degrees F; Non-operating, -70 to +155 degrees F (storage). The
equipment shall meet vibration req'mts IAW MIL-STD-810E, Method 514.4
Procedure I, Cat. 8 under non-operating conditions; vibration levels
shall be IAW applicable profiles, which can be provided by the
government POC below via FAX, upon request by the vendor. The equipment
shall meet the humidity test of MIL-STD-810C, Method 507.1, Procedure
II, under non-operating conditions. Note: This test is performed with
the power supply installed inside an equivalent enclosure as the
internal cubage of the AN/ASM-189() semi-trailer van (32ft) with the
air vents in the open position. OTHER REQUIRED FEATURES:
Regulation/Rectification: All solid state design including hermetically
sealed components. Peak voltages and currents during operation and
switching held within rated values. Circuit isolation: output circuit
shall be completely isolated from input; either positive or negative DC
bus can be grounded. Sustain overload protection is required.
Stability: Negligible temperature influence. Pilot light is required to
indicate when unit is energized. Display Meters: Analog/digital
voltmeter and ammeter with 2% accuracy (or better) is required.
Assessibility: Inside of equipment shall be readily assessible from
front for inspection and routine maintenance. Maximum weight: 720 lbs.
Maximum dimensions: 24" wide X 25" deep X 39" high.
Interchangeability: The power supply shall be interchangeable with
existing interface drawings A3059527, A3059530, SM-D-887804,
SM-D-887841,SM-D-887842, SM-B-887850, and SM-C-887941, to allow
attachment to mounting brackets on AN/ASM-189() without further
modification of the van; these drawings can be provided by the
government POC below via FAX, upon request by the vendor. Commercial
Manual: The vendor shall provide (the government) the equipment's
(commercial) Operator/Maintenance/Parts breakdown Manual for review as
acceptable usage by soldiers. Also, the vendor shall provide (the
government) a specification sheet/company catalog of the above
commercially-available equipment. The commercial manual/spec. sheet
shall be mailed to: Commander, US Army CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-P-GS
(K. Shedlock), Fort Monmouth, N.J. 07703-5043. E:Mail address:
