on or about June 11, 1997, to develop methodologies to provide guidance
concerning the deployment of surveillance systems to support Advanced
Traffic Management Systems (ATMS). This project will advance the
understanding concerning the deployment of surveillance to support ATMS
operations and enable cost effective deployments. This study requires
expertise in traffic engineering, ATMS functions and data requirements,
surveillance and detection technology, electrical engineering, systems
engineering, and computer programming. The study also requries
experience in the design, deployment, operation, and maintenance of
surveillance systems for traffic data collection and control. For a
