Potocki-Reeves, Contract Specialist This notification is being placed
as Sources Sought by the U.S. Secret Service for sources interested in
obtaining Very Small Aperture (VSAT) satellite equipment, which shall
require dismantling and removal at the contractor's expense. The
Government will hold discussions with responsible sources who have an
interest in obtaining VSAT equipment owned by the U.S. Secret Service.
Any and all equipment being dismantled shall be the property of the
contractor. The equipment available for disposal includes: (1) Antenna
1.8 Meter; Prodelin Model 1181; quantity ninety-two (92) each. (2)
Antenna 2.4 Meter; Prodelin Model 1245; quantity eighteen (18) each.
(3) Non-Penetrating Mount; Rohn Model AAGM65; quantity thirty-five (35)
each. (4) 'Outdoor" electronics package; Harris Model 2401A/2452A;
quantity one-handred ten (110) each. (5) Walton 'Hot-Air' Deice 1.8
Meter; quantity seventy-six (76) each. (6) Walton 'Hot-Air' Deice 2.4
Meter; quantity seven (7) each. (7) Satellite Modem' Comstream Model
CM-101; quantity one-hundred ten (110) each. (8) Data Switch;
Racal-Milgo Model EIA MK II; quantity one-hundred three (103) each. All
U.S. Secret Service VSAT locations contain items (4) and (7). Antennas
are installed such that a given site will have either item (1) or (2)
but not both. Sites that do not have item (3), (non-pen mount) have
'permanent' mounts affixed to the building structure. Items (5) and (6)
are predominately installed at locations in the Northern latitudes of
the United States. Dismantling and removal of the VSAT equipment shall
be the liability and responsibility of the interested parties. No
costs for dismantling and removal will be borne by the Government.
Interested parties are requested to submit a proposal on a regional
basis. Interested parties may submit a proposal on one or all of the
regions. There may be some exceptions to this criterion. Actual regions
and locations by city/state may be obtained by the requestor. No
telephone requests will be accepted. Written requests only will be
accepted and must be received within fifteen (15) days from the date of
