R -- SPONSORSHIP/IN KIND DONATIONS FOR THE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT CENTER'S ARTIST/CRAFTSMAN CONTEST AND PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST SOL SVS-SCS-113-97 DUE 080197 POC Chad Christopher, (907) 552-5900, FAX (907) 552-9750. We are soliciting in-kind donations or sponsorship for the Skills Development Centers Contests for 1997. The Base Level Artist/Craftsman Contest, will occur on Aug. 15. The Base Level Photography Contest will occur on Nov. 15. These programs will be open to anyone employed by the Department of Defense, including civilian employees. For each contest, there will be over 100 participants. For the Artist/Craftsman Contest, we are looking for sponsorship/in-kind donations of $1,250.00. We are in need of the following: Six different $100.00 savings bonds, at $50.00 each, for first place winners, for a total of $300.00. Plaques for first, second, and third place winners for a cost of $600.00. Special squadron award worth $50.00. Gallery show reception worth $200.00. For the Photography Contest, we are looking for sponsorship/in-kind foundations of $900.00. We are in need of the following: 12 different $100.00 savings bonds, at $50.00 each, for first place winners, for a total of $600.00. Certificates for first, second, and third place winners, for a total of $50.00. Gallery show reception worth $200.00. We would accept part or all of the items requested, depending on the sponsors and what they can provide. The sponsors will be allowed to display banners and information at the event. Advertising in all areas on the base will be done. All offers will be considered. More than one sponsor/donation may be accepted and additives will be considered. Requests for copies of this solicitation must be received not later than Aug. 1, 1997. This is a solicitation for commercial sponsorship/donation by a nonappropriated fund instrumentality of the United States Government. It does not obligate appropriated funds of the Government.
