916-934-3316 Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to
rehabilitate an existing campground. Major items of work are; install
utilities including electrical, drinking water and irrigation water,
installing aerators and electrical systems on two existing vault
toilets; construct a slump stone vault toilet, two wood kiosks and a
chlorinator building; construct 0.66 miles of campground roads; riprap
approximately 1100 feet of stream bank; construct wood barriers;
construct picnic table pads; install a host pad holding tank; install
fire rings and barbecue grills; and re-plumb an existing chlorinator
and water storage tank. The approximate quantities of work are: (1)
Install utilities consisting of 570 feet of 1 1/2 inch water line, 1000
feet of 1 inch water line, 350 feet of 3/4 inch irrigation line, 3,370
feet of 1/2 inch irrigation line and 234 drippers; install a 1500
gallon holding tank for the host pad; electrical service from a PG&E
pole consisting of 500 feet of 250 MCM Cu. wire in 150 feet of 2 inch
conduit; construct a complete electrical system for two existing vault
toilets, two kiosks, and a host pad; install 300 feet of 2 inch
conduit, 350 feet of 1 inch conduit, and 450 feet of 3/4 inch conduit;
1000 feet of 4-0 gauge Al. wire, 750 feet of 8 gauge Cu. wire, and
1100 feet of 6 gauge Cu. wire. (2) Relocate P-line and construction
stake 0.66 miles. (3) Excavate approximately 1750 C.Y. for campground
roads, camp and picnic pads, buildings and levees. (4) Construct 0.66
miles of campground roads, camp pads, picnic table pads using 1000 tons
of hot bituminous plant mix and 3,000 tons of aggregate base. Install
traffic control and information signs and painted traffic markings. (5)
Place 1600 tons of Class 8 riprap alonga stream bank. (6) Install 1400
feet of post and rail barrier. (7) Construct one slump stone vault
toilet, two wood kiosks, and one wood chlorinator building. (8)
Construct 60 S.Y. of concrete sidewalks, a concrete dumpster pad, and
150 S.Y. precas interlocking concrete block trail ramp. (9)Install 20
steel fire rings and steel barbecue grills. Estimated price range is
between $250,000 to $500,000. Estimated issue date is 19 May 97 with an
estimated bid opening date of 18 June 97. There will be a pre-bid tour
on June 4, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. at the Middle Creek Campground. The
campground is located on Elk Mountain Road, Upper Lake, CA. To reach
the campground, from State Highway 20 in Upper Lake proceed north on
Mendenhall Avenue fro 0.4 miles to the intersection with the Elk
Mountain Road (County Road 301). Proceed north on the Elk Mountain Road
for 7.6 miles to the Middle Creek Campground. For confirmation of the
