(AS&E), 829 Middlesex Turnpike, Billerica, MA 01821 for the purchase and installation of twenty-two (22) Edge Enhancement, Density Expand, and Automatic Threat Detection upgrade kits for existing AS&E Model 101ZZ X-Ray Inspection Systems. The requirement will include training of operators in the use of these upgrades, as well as preventive maintenance inspection of each system and upgrade of each system's software to the most current technology and revision, and replacement of incidental items such as switches, fuses, and lamps. The systems are located at twenty worldwide sites. The proposed contract includes no option periods and will require delivery within 120 days of contract award. The Request for Proposal (RFP) FA4452-97-R-0012 is anticipated to be released on or about 19 May 97.
