R -- PROFESSIONAL TRAINING; ADVANCEMENT VIA INDIVIDUAL DETERMINATION (AVID) PROGRAM TRAINING POC Contact Mr. Taybron at (703)696-3845, ext. 4112 The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) intends to award a sole source procurement with the San Diego County Office of Education (SDCOE), Advancement Via Individual Development (AVID) Center, to organize, develop and administer AVID program training. This training will enable participants to better instruct, administer, supervise and evaluate the AVID program for DoDEA educators and students. Training is required for 200 participants which will include Superintendants, AVID Coordinators, Principles, Counselors, Teachers and Training Cadre Members. The period of performance is 23 May through 30 August 1997. This training is required to ensure system-wide implementation and compliance with the DoDEA directive to develop the in-house training capability in support of the National Education Goals 2000.
