div.nswc.navy.mil/. The Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare
Center, Dahlgren, Virginia is seeking qualified, certified small,
disadvantaged business sources under the 8(a) program who have the
capability to provide system engineering, software development, and
technical support for the Navy's Cooperative Engagement Capability
(CEC) Program and the Shipboard Gridlock System (SGS) Program. This
requirement will require individuals with software engineering and
system engineering experience using SUN workstations, C, and Ada
programming languages. Experience must include the use of software
tools such as Requirement Traceability Management, Interleaf, and PCMS,
along with experience in CEC and SGS programs. The contractor will be
required to work with the Johns Hopkins University/Applied Physics
Laboratory, to interface with other Navy organizations, and to deploy
onboard Navy vessels to support testing events. A cost plus fixed fee
type contract is anticipated lasting for five (5) years involving 28
man years effort for each year of performance. The contractor must hold
a Secret security clearance, and employees who perform on this contract
must hold at least a Secret clearance. The contractor must have or
commit to having a business unit within thirty (30) minutes commute of
the Naval Surface Warfare Center's Dahlgren, Virginia location.
Certified 8(a) respondents must submit capability statements not to
exceed fifteen (15) pages in length to receive consideration, and be
prepared to make capability presentations at the Dahlgren location.
Responses are required no later than 16 May 1997. This is a SOURCES
