S -- HOSPITAL HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES SOL DADA10-97-R-0037 DUE 061597 POC CPT Kevin Smith, Contract Specialist (210) 916-9064; Ms Shirley Tolbert, Contracting Officer (210) 221-9373 (Site Code DADA10) Non-personal hospital housekeeping services at the Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) and the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR) complex, located on Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, TX. The Contractor, as a firm, must have managed and performed a full service hospital housekeeping contract for at least 24 months during the three years immediately preceding the date established in the Request for Proposals. This experience must have been at a full service medical treatment facility with a 450 bed capacity or greater in size. Periods of creditable performance may have been incurred at more than one site for at least 12 consecutive months at each site but cannot be gained at two (2) or more sites concurrently. This experience must have been gained as a result of the contractor being regularly engaged in the business of providing management and performance of aseptic services in all areas of the hospital complex; such as, surgery (including pre/post case, end-of-day), recovery, laboratories, aswell as special care areas, such as intensive and cardiac care units, emergency rooms, oral surgery, cystoscopy rooms, cardiac catherization labs, isolation rooms, and central sterile supply. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, management support, transportation, equipment, tools, materials and services (except as specified in Section C-3 as government-furnished) to provide complete hospital housekeeping services required to curtail the spread of nosocomial infection and maintain sanitation standards established for BAMC/USAISR. The base period of performance will be from 1 OCT 97 though 30 SEP 98 with four 1-year options.
