West Los Angeles VA Medial Center 11301 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90073. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation #691-51-97. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular #90-46. The associated standard industrial classification code is #7011. Firm-Fixed price contract for hotel accommodations for a conference/training room with approximately 2000 square feet of interior space. Conference/training room will be required from date of award until April 30, l998. Room shall be made available for all day training sessions upon request of COTR. Approximately 65-70 sessions will be held. Meeting room space must be equipped to hold (30) plus attendees per session. Anticipated period of performance to start May 19, l997. Accommodation shall include (1) on-site self parking, (2) air conditioner and heating, (3) provide cleaning services, (4) continental breakfast and lunch with beverage and dessert, (5) general purpose audio-visual equipment/supplies and/or availability to store government owned audio/visual property in secured storage space. (6) accessible ADP supplies/equipment (7) Table/seating accommodations for at least four accommodations for at least four individuals per table in an adjoining setting. LOCATION RESTRICTION: Hotel shall be in a (3) mile radius of the Medical Center. Hotels located outside (3) mile radius parameter, shall transport the attendees via bus/van and shall be within a 10-minute time frame and shall be provided for each training course scheduled. Transportation shall be round-trip from the Medical Center to the hotel and back to the Medical Center in designated pick up points. If the training sessions are extended beyond course schedule transportation will be extended respectively. The provision ay 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, will be applicability. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible Offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: (1) Price consideration (2) Location (3) Factors that contribute the effectiveness of the training session and (4) Past performance in determining the successful offeror. Evaluation factors are in their relative order of importance for the Evaluation factors, such as in descending order of importance.
