(Site Code DAKF57) Work includes retrofitting, removal, disposal and replacement of heating oil underground storage tanks (UST's) and above ground storage tanks (AST's) on Fort Lewis, Washington. Tank volumetric capacities range from about 275 gallons through 1100 gallons. Retrofitting of tanks includes the following: installation of standard spill containment devices on both AST's and UST's; installation of seismic bracing and overfill alarms on AST's; installation of double wall piping and interstitial monitoring equipment on any UST that is replaced. Work will also include excavating, testing, removal and disposal of contaminated soil. The estimated cost of this procurement is between $250,000 and $500,000. Completion time is 365 calendar days. This procurement will be issued as unrestricted with a ten percent (10%) SDB preference. Estimated issue date of this procurement is 15 July 1997.
