Bartolini, (914( 737-4400x2206, Contracting Officer, Karen Diehl, (914) 737-4400x2072 Furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision necessary for Project 620-97-121, to refurbish three hundred and fourteen (314) rooftop dormers at the F.D.R. VA Hospital, Montrose, NY. This project is to refurbish rooftop dormers on buildings 1,3,4,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14 and 15 in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Work includes, but is not limited to the following: Weatherproofing with aluminum cladding all exposed wood elements of each dormer, including fascia boards, trim, molding etc. Any and all wood elements that are rotten, broken or other wise damaged shall be replaced with new primed elements prior to installation of aluminum cladding. Contractor shall provide and install new, full sized anodized aluminum frame and sash, double hung windows in 274 of the 314 dormers, of which 16 dormers contain exhaust ducts or louvers which occupy all or a portion of the area of one of the two sashes and will require special glazing consideration. Of the remaining 40 dormers, 22dormers are fully louvered and will not require new windows and 18 dormers have had new windows installed in the last two years and will not require new windows. Estimated construction range is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. A limited number of bid packages will be available on or about May 23, 1997 and will be issued on a first come first serve basis until supply is exhausted. Mandatory contract completion time is 150 calendar days. Bid opening date is June 23, 1997 at 2:00 pm. Request for bid documents must be in writing, no telephone or fax request will be honored.
