Tel: 913-458-3831. The General Organization for Greater Cairo Water
Supply (GOGCWS), in the Arab Republic of Egypt, requests bids from U.S.
firms who can qualify through experience in providing similar equipment
to the required pickup trucks. The required trucks consists of thirteen
(13) four cylinder approximately 2.3 liter leaded gasoline engine
pickup trucks with manual transmission and 7-foot pickup bed to be
furnished and delivered to CIP Destination Alexandria, Arab Republic of
Egypt. Bidder must have representation for supply of spare parts and
service in the Arab Republic of Egypt and must bid on all of the items
specified. Bid security in the amount of three percent of the total
amount bid must accompany the bid. A Fixed Price Host Country Contract
with GOGCWS is anticipated. Payment will be made in U.S. Dollars by
USAID/Cairo through a direct Letter of Commitment under USAID Grant No.
263-1093. Interested firms may obtain a copy of the Invitation for Bid

(913)-458-3730. The IFB document will be issued immediately after
publication of this notice. Sealed bids are due at Black & Veatch
International by 2:00 PM local time on June 10, 1997. A public bid
opening will be held at the time. Late submission of bids will not be
considered. Bids must remain valid and open for acceptance for a
minimum of 120 days from the date set for bid opening. Bid security
must be valid for an additional 30 days past the date bids expire. The
Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Agency for
International Development encourage and welcome in this activity the
participation, to the fullest extent possible, of minorities and women
both as individuals and as members of contracting or subcontracting
firms. In this respect, it is anticipated that the prime contractor
