Green, 618-256-9464 (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance wit the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) DCA200-97-Q-0091. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFP). (iii) The RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 90-46 and DAC 91-11. (iv) This RFQ is issued under Full and Open Competition. SIC Code 4813, Telephone Communications applies. Size Standard 1,500 employees. (v) Provide a price for CLIN 0001, Compact Inmarsat Terminals, 6 each. Requirement description is set fourth in para (vi) below. (vi) Description of Requirement: (a) The Army has a requirement for acquiring six (6) Compact Inmarsat Terminals with the following ancillary equipment: High gain folding antennas, system tranceivers, LCD signal strength indicators, two 2-wire DTMF (RJ-11) telephone ports, DTMF telephone, 12 VDC power cord, compass, soft transit case, operators manual, universal AC/DC converter/charger, rechargeable battery pack (NIMH), bypass access card, facsimile interface, data interface, STU-III interface (4.8 KBPS). The terminals must NOT exceed six (6) pounds due to mission rrequirements. The requirement is for a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) product. (b) Year 2000 Compliance. The product shall be Year 2000 compliant. (vii) Deliver CLIN 0001 to Third US Army, Attn: G6-MCU (SFC Woods), Bldg: 717, Ft Gillem, GA 30050 by 20 June 1997, sooner if possible. (viii) FAR 52.212-1 applies to this acquisition. 52.212-1(b)(4): Offers shall submit existing product literature in lieu of unique written technical proposals. (ix) FAR 52.212-2 shall not apply to this acquisition. Award shall be made based on lowest price provided all requirements in para (vi) above are met. (x) Proposals shall include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3. (xi) FAR 52.212-4 applies to this acquisition. (xii) FAR 52.212-5 applies to this acquisition -- - 52.212-5(b): The following additional FAR clauses apply to this acquisition: 52.222-26; 52.222-35; 52.222-36 and 52.222-37.
