White, 202/435-6940 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with addtional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number RFQ 97-Q-12 is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46. The associated standard industrial classification code (SIC) is 4813. This requirement is for a Prism Video Transmission System, and no substitutions will be allowed. The following is a list of contract line item numbers, item descriptions, and quantities: CLIN 0001 -- Model TX-300, Color Video Transmitter, 3 Video Inputs, 1.6GB Storage, 33.6 KBS Modem, ISDN Modem Serial Interface, Audio Channel Included; Quantity -- 4 each; CLIN 0002 -- Model RX-301, Color Video Receiver, Prism Decompression Card, 28.8 KBS Modem, ISDN Modem, Audio Channel, 9 inch Black/White Control Monitor; Quantity -- 2 each; CLIN 0003 -- Model RXLPT, 1.0GB Storage, 301 Decompression Card, 33.6 KBS Modem Docking Station, Telesurveillance Applications Installed, Color Receiver; Quantity -- 2 each. The contractor shall deliver entire quantity: (1) F.O.B. Destination; (2) within 30 days after contract award; (3) to -- U. S. Secret Service, Technical Security Division, 843 Brightseat Road (Rear), Landover, MD 20785. Inspection and acceptance shall also be made at place specified for delivery. The provision at 52.212-1, "Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items", applies with exception to paragraph (b)(8), which is not applicable to this acquisition. Submission of Offers -- submit signed and dated offers to the U. S. Secret Service, Procurement Division, 1310 L Street, N. W., Room 730, Washington, D. C. 20223, Attn: D. White, on or before Thursday, May 22, 1997 at 3:00 pm, eastern standard time. Facsimile transmissions will not be accepted. The offeror shall provide (1) Contractor's Tax ID number; (2) Contractor Identification Number (DUNS #); and (3) a statement certifying that the offeror is a small business concern. The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clause -- 52.212-4, "Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items" also applies to this acquisition and is incorporated by reference.
