GRIFFITH, (601) 689-8372 The Naval Oceanographic Office intends to award a firm fixed price contract to Softworks Inc. to upgrade existing Weathertrac Software on 62 Navy Interim Mobile Oceanography Support Systems to a Windows NT environment. Upgrade is to include an unlimited use software license for Navy and Marine Corp use, documentation, user training at Navy site in Norfolk, Virginia, and software support subscription for one (1) year. Options will be included for software support subscription for an additional four (4), one (1) year periods. This contract will be issued on the basis of other than full and open competition, in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 as stated requirements can only be satisfied by the manufacturer of the software. The solicitation, N62306-97-Q-0005, to be processed under FAR Part 12 for commercial products, is anticipated to be issued o/a 30 April 1997 with a closing date to be one (1) week after issuance.
