Mading 406/255-2748 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for
commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart
12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in the
notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations
are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The
solicitation number is 1422E930Q97-0013 and is being issued as a
request for quotations. The solicitation document and incorporated
provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acqusition
Circular 90-45. This is a 100% set aside for small business; SIC Code
is 3792 and size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is for a
firm fixed price contract for LINE ITEM 1, Travel Trailers (2 each),
LINE ITEM 2, Travel Trailer with Slide Out (1 each). Delivery to
Lewistown, Montana. Description -- SCOPE: Contractor shall deliver two
(2) Travel Trailers and one (1) Travel Trailer with Slide Out unit
with all utility connections and any other work required for use of
trailersto the Bureau of Land Management Office in Lewistown, Montana.
The Contractor shall provide verbal and written instructions of all
equipment on the travel trailers. The Contractor shall have service
availability and provide warranty service within 24 hours of
notification. Contractor shall provide a full one year warranty with
service of all defects. In addition, industry standard warranty periods
shall apply to specific components. Minimum specifications are as
follows: INTERIOR -- applies to all three trailers Living Room -- Heavy
duty stain resistant upholstery couch with fold out bed with 4 inch
thick cushions. One solid wood cabinet with doors, 12" x 14" x 20". One
110 volt electric outlet. Stain repellant carpet of earthtone color
with padding. Bedroom -- One double bed, 54" x 75", 5 inch mattress
with coordinated bedding. One closet for hanging clothes 20" x 22" x
76". One 110 volt electric outlet. Stain repellant carpet of earthtone
color with padding. Location at the rear end of trailer.
Kitchen/Dining Area -- Dining Area with one wood, free-standing table
and two chairs. Two wood cupboards to include two silverware and
utensil drawers. Laminated counter tops of a meutral or white color.
Vinyl type floor of a earthtone color in kitchen. Stain repellant
carpet of a earthtone color with padding in dinette. Three BTU burner
stove with oven total BTU 29000. Fourteen inch microwave oven, 750
watts with flush mount. Large double-door electric/propane
refridgerator, flush mount (14 cubic feet). Large double kitchen sink
12"x12"x6" each, with single lever faucet. Shut off valves for sink.
One GFI 110 volt electric outlet. Bathroom -- A full shower unit, ABS,
one piece surround. Shut off valves for toilet and a 14"x10"x5" sink.
One drawer 12"x18"x4". One medicine cabinet 18"x23"x5". One GFI 110
volt electric outlet. GENERAL -- Exterior doors will be at least 30"
wide and have a dead bolt lock on entrance doors. Interior doors shall
be of industry standard. Windows with miniblinds, screens, that open
-- no crank. Wood flooring throughout trailers. EXTERIOR -- TWO TRAVEL
TRAILERS SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 27 FEET IN LENGTH. TRAVEL TRAILER WITH
SLIDE OUT UNIT SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 25 FEET IN LENGTH. All trailers
will be crowned, seamless rubber roof (10 year warranty). Roof rain
gutters and down spouts. Aluminum exterior with baked on enamel
striping. Fiberglass insulation R-7. Electric brakes. Coated
underbelly, rodent proof, tear resistant. Steel belted radial tires
with spare tire. Retractable non-skid steps. Hitch safety chains.
Bumper with drain hose carrier. Two 30 pound LP gas tanks with
regulator on rack located in front of trailer. FOR TRAILER WITH SLIDE
OUT UNIT ONLY -- Slide out addition with a 34" x 74" interior. Slide
out rack and pinion drive, high-torque electric motor, with manual
override with hand crank, and stabilizer jacks. Heating and Cooling --
all trailers Air conditioner -- 13,500 BTU roof air conditioner.
Furnace -- 31,000 BTU with electronic ignition. Plumbing, Fixtures,
Electrical -- all trailers Liquid Petroleum (LP) copper lines.
Electric/gas propane water heater with autolight -- a minimum of 10
gallons, with waterline heater bypass kit. 12 V and 110 V lighting GFI
outlets. 5/8" five-ply tongue and groove decking with 2"x3" joists.
2"x2" and 2"x4" wall studs on 16" centers. Fresh water system --
minimum of 36 gallons. Gray water holding tank of 29 gallons. Toilet
with waste holding tank of 36 gallons. One fire extinguisher located
near entrance, one smoke alarm located in living area. Delivery
required by June 6, 1997 -- The required items shall be delivered
F.O.B. Destination. Delivery shall be made between the hours of 8:00
a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, holidays excluded. Delivery
shall be made to Bureau of Land Management, Airport Road, Lewistown
Montana. FAR Provision 52.212-1, Instructions of Offerors --
Commercial, applies to this acquisition, with the following addenda:
Per FAR 12.603(b) the SF 1449 is not used. AWARD: Offers will be
received on an all or none basis. Award will be made to the lowest
responsive and responsible offeror based upon the unit price quoted.
Offerors shall include a completed copy of the FAR provision at
52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial
Items, with their offer. FAR clause 52-212-4, Contract Terms and
Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquistion, with the

on or before close of business, May 16, 1997. Quotations sent via the
US Postal Service should be mailed to Bureau of Land Management, P.O.
Box 36800, Billings, MT 59107-6800. All RFQ's not sent through the US
Mail will be considered hand carried and direct delivered. Hand carried
RFQ's must be delivered directly to Bureau of Land Management, 222
