Project description is reprinted in its entirety as follows: This is to advise interested contractors that this office is advertising the above project. The project description is printed in its entirety as follows: The project consists of furnishing manpower, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to performed the Design/Build Expansion at the Processing and Distribution Facility, 5300 Scottsville Road, Bowling Green, Kentucky 42104-9998 in accordance with plans and specifications. A fixed price contract will be awarded for the design and construction of an expansion of approximately 42,100 square feet to the existing 68,000 square feet Processing and Distribution Facility on existing property. The existing building, so shall the expansion, consist of a single story, slab on grade, concrete masonry with face brick, steel beam and column construction. The existing roof consists of single ply membrane roofing and areas of standing seam copper roof, and so shall the expansion. The work includes limited excavation, grading and backfiling, including extension of underground utilities, specifically storm and sanitary sewerage. The design and construction of the expansion shall match the existing facility in both aesthetics and use. The expansion will be space conditioned using packaged rooftop air conditioning units. The existing facilities' operations shall be maintained throughout construction of the expansion. The contractor will provide temporary walls and dust protection as required to maintain the operation of the existing facility. Time of Completion: All work shall be completed within 275 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed (NTP). Offerors will be required to submit both technical and price proposals. Technical submittals will require evidence of: (1) Experience; (2) Management Plan; (3) Financial Capability; and (4) Organization. This scope of work is furhter defined in the conceptual drawings and specifications. The estimated cost range is between $3,000,000 to $3,700,000. A Pre-Proposal Conference is scheduled for May 16, 1997, at 8:30 AM at the facility, and a walk-through will be conducted immediately thereafter. The cost of the conceptual plans and specifications for the project is $125 per set. This charge is non-refundable.
