of content: The purpose of Colombian Technical Standard 3971
(Transport of Class 8 dangerous goods. Corrosive substances.
Packing/packaging and land transport by road) is to establish the
requirements to be met by, and the tests to be performed in respect of
packing/packaging and land transport of Class 8 dangerous goods. It
also sets out mechanisms for monitoring the transport of Class 8
dangerous goods, reducing the risks to people, objects and the
environment in relation to the transport of corrosive substances by
road and related or supplementary activities. 7. Objective and
