The services contemplated under this Request for Quotes include furnishing all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating materials, and incidentals necessary for harvesting 164 individual trees (164 MBF) located along 20 miles of the remote Shoal Cove road system on Revillagigedo Island, Southeast Alaska, approximately 17 air miles northeast of Ketchikan, Alaska. The work includes felling, limbing, bucking, yarding, loading, hauling, barging to Ketchikan, and decking of all harvested trees. The Shoal Cove road system is not connected to any other road system and is accessible via boat, float plane, helicopter, or barge from Ketchikan, Alaska. All work is to be completed within 90 calendar days of the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. The Government anticipates issuing the Notice to Proceed on approximately June 15, 1997. This project is a 100% Small Business set-aside. Simplified acquisition procedures apply to this project. The estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000.
