The solicitation should be issued on or about 1 July 1997 with a 30 day closing period. This requirement provides for maintenance and repair services (including service calls, uncrating and prep of new appliances, change outs, delivery and pick ups) for household appliances such as: Refrigerators, Dishwashers, Ranges, Dishwashers, Air conditioners (window), Washers, Dryers, at Government owned facilities, quarters and private residences of eligible Department of Defense personnel under the control of Commander Naval Base Hawaii (COMNAVBASE) Pearl on the island of Oahu, HI. A requirements type contract is anticipated with the contract performance period to be 1 October 1997 through 30 September 1998 with four (4) 12 month option periods. The Government intends to include the clause FAR 52.217 8, Option to Extend Services, in the solicitation. See Note 1.
