RANGE STANDARDIZATION AND AUTOMATION (RSA) PHASE 11A -- EXERCISE OF OPTION FOR RANGE DELIVERY INCREMENT 1 (RDI 1) This contract action is to exercise Options 4, and 5, on the Range Standardization and Automation (RSA) Phase IIA Contract awarded to Lockheed Martin Tactical Systems Company (formerly Loral Systems Company) on 21 Nov 95. Option 4, SubCLIN 0008AM Non-Developmental Items (NDI) -Range Deliverable Increment (RDI) 1 is being exercised for the procurement of Non-Developmental hardware items for the Range Delivery Increment #1 Control and Display Data Formatting function. This RDI 1 upgrades the capability for the processing of weather data in support of range hazard identification and management. Option 5 SubCLINs 0009AG and 0009AH RDI 1 is being exercised to manage, develop, and procure software/hardware items required to support the functional capability of RDI 1. These capabilities include range connectivity between new RSA IIA instruments and existing weather instruments. Additional capability is being developed to convert range data to standard formats for C&D processing and the communications interface equipment which supports the exchange of voice and hardware originated data between the two segments.
