transportation, permits, mobilization and demobilization required for
a two story, 2750 square foot, general office space addition to the
east end of the recently completed U.S. Coast Guard administration
building on Sand Island, Honolulu, HI. Partial demolition and
reconfiguration of the existing roof is required. Building systems of
the addition will match those of the existing building to result in a
uniform interior, and exterior appearance of the enlarged facility.
Major construction systems include a concrete pile and grade beam
foundation, concrete slab-on-grade first floor, concrete masonary
exterior walls, pre-cast concrete beam second floor, steel truss roof
framing, and concrete tile roofing. A separate HVAC system is included,
and the existing fire sprinkler system will be extended into the
addition. The existing irrigation, landscaping, and sidewalk systems
will be modified around the addition, and a sewer force main will be
relocated. The estimated price range for this contract is between
$500,000 and $1 million. Duration of the contract is approximately 8
months. SIC Code 1542. There is a $20.00 NON-REFUNDABLE charge for each
set of plans and specifications. To obtain plans and specifications you

and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist
minority, woman-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises to
acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for
transporation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible
prime or subcontract at tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program
enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to
$1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on
the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available
under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates
to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is
