Z -- EAST ZONE GRADING SOL R5-05-97-026 POC Kathy Stein; Contracting Officer -- Chuck Laws, (916) 842-6131 This project consists of Surface Blading (estimated 185 miles, 297.9 kilometers) of Forest Service roads; ditch Cleaning (estimated 73 miles, 117.5 kilometers) of Forest Service roads; and Road Opening, grader operation only (estimated 40 hours) on Forest Service roads. Work will be performed on the Scott River and Oak Knoll Ranger Districts of the Klamath National Forest, Siskiyou County, California. This is an indefinite quantity contract. The Government shall order a minimum of 100 miles (161.0 kilometers) and a maximum of 250 miles (402.5 kilometers) of surface blading; and shall order a mimimum of 40 miles (64.4 kilometers) and a maximum of 150 miles (241.5 kilometers) of ditch cleaning; and shall order a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 60 hours of road opening. Contract time: 80 calendar days. Estimated start work date: mid June, 1997. Date for receipt of quotes has not been established, but is estimated to be in early June, 1997.
