58 -- DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS SATELLITE SUBSYSTEM (DCSS) CLOCK BUFFER UNITS SOL NA DUE 053097 POC Point of Contact -- Gelsi Argueta, (908) 532-9783, ext 5431 E-MAIL: Digital Communications Satellite Subsystem, argueta@doim6.monmouth.army.mil. This is a market survey to locate potential sources of supply for Clock Buffer units which will automatically compensate for phase shift or frequency drift between Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS) satellite earth station master clocks and the clocks associated with received satellite data circuits. The required units will gate data out of the buffer using a clock source derived from the local station master clock. The buffer will have a capacity of at least 32,768 bits. Modular components may be used to achieve different ranges of buffer capacity and data rate capabilities. An external signal will be used to initialize (and re-initialize) the Clock Buffer when required. The unit must fit into a standard 19-inch rack and must include a power supply operating at 115 volts, 60 Hz. Any interested sources must send product technical and cost information, NLT 30 May 97, to U.S. Army, Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate, Bldg. 209, ATTN: AMSEL-RD-ST-SE-ST (G. Argueta), Ft. Monmouth,NJ 07703. All questions should be addressed to G. Argueta, (908) 532-9783, x 5431; email address: argueta@doim6. monmouth.army.mil. (0125)
