The CECOM Acquisition Center-Washington Operations Office anticipates issuing a Request For Proposal (RFP) in support of the Program Executive Office, Standard Army Management Information Systems (PEO STAMIS) on or about May 29, 1997. The intent is to procure commercial servers, desktops, notebooks, peripherals, network hardware/software, system support software, integration, maintenance, associated documentation and reports, and technical support services to meet world-wide STAMIS requirements. The equipment consists of commercial technology capable of executing various STAMIS software applications. The STAMIS software applications were developed to function with specific software, i.e., MS DOS 6.22, MS Windows for Workgroups 3.11, MS Windows NT for Workstations and Servers 4.0, etc., as identified by the RFP. The estimated period of performance is 8 years, consisting of a 1-year base effort, and 7 one-year option periods. The RFP will available on the CECOM Acquisition Center -- Washington Operations Office Bulletin Board System (BBS). Users with modems may dial (703) 428-0864 for connections at 28,800 and below. Communications parameters should be no parity, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, and full duplex.
