The Defense Special Weapons Agency (DSWA) intends to issue a sole-source modification to Weidlinger Associates, Inc. for additional work to be performed under Contract DSWA01-96-C-0178 entitled, "Aircraft Crash Analysis Model." A TF-30 engine impact test originally scheduled for Oct 1996 was not conducted until 13 Mar 1997 by Sandia National Laboratories. Due to Government delays in providing test data results, the contractor will be required to perform additional calculations and computations and has had to delay others which are required to benchmark computational results against this test data. Additionally, Weidlinger will be required to perform mechanical screening of aircraft crashed into particular locations in maintenance and storage facilities.
