(Site Code DACW60) The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials
and equipment necessary to remove 16 underground storage tanks (USTs)
at the Aiken Municipal Airport and, until recently, the Aiken Youth
Correction Facility, in Aiken County, South Carolina. The tanks range
in size from 800 to 20,000 gallons and were used to store petroleum
products at the former Aiken Army Airfield. The work will consist of
excavating and removing the tanks, removing and disposing of hazardous
materials from the tanks, excavating and disposing of contaminated
soil within five feet of the tanks, disposing of the tanks, and
restoring the tank sites. The estimated value of the proposed work is
between $100,000 and $250,000. Mail requests for plans and
