H -- PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF THE STEWART & STEVENSON SERIES GAS TURBINE/GENERATOR INTEGRATED LOGISTICS SUPPORT PROGRAM SOL N00024-97-R-4168 POC 02424E, T. Mounts, 703-602-0202 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue solicitation N00024-97-R-4168 on a sole source basis to Stewart & Stevenson Services, Inc., 2707 North Loop West (7708), P.O. Box 1637, Houston, TX 77251-1637 to provide engineering services. The solicitation will provide for up to 5,000 labor hours of Maintenance Engineering and Technical reviews, evaluations, investigations, surveys, and technical data reviews and updates in connection with the Stewart & Stevenson Series Gas Turbine/Generator Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Program. This work will be performed during FY98, with options for 4 additional years. Stewart & Stevenson is the only company that possesses the necessary technical data, expertise, equipment, and is licensed to receive the proprietary information necessary to perform these requirements. No other source has the technical qualifications and resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
