H -- PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES IN SUPPORT OF THE SOLAR SERIES GAS TURBINE/GENERATOR INTEGRATED LOGISTICS SUPPORT PROGRAM SOL N00024-97-R-4169 POC 02424E, T. Mounts, 703-602-0202 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue solicitation N00024-97-R-4169 on a sole source basis to Solar Turbines, Inc., 9330 Skypark Ct., C.S.C., San Diego, CA 92123-5398 to provide engineering services. The solicitation will provide for up to 5,000 labor hours of Maintenance Engineering and Technical reviews, evaluations, investigations, surveys, and technical data reviews and updates in connection with the Solar Series Gas Turbine/Generator Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Program. This work will be performed during FY98, with options for 4 additional years. Solar Turbines, Inc. is the only company that possesses the necessary technical data, expertise, equipment, and proprietary information necessary to perform these requirements. No other source has the technical qualifications and resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Navy's requirements.
