TF40B SERIES GAS TURBINE PROGRAM SOL N00024-97-R-4170 POC 02424E, T.
Mounts, 703-602-0202 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to
issue solicitation N00024-97-R-4170 on a sole source basis to Allied
Signal, 111 S. 34th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85010 to provide engineering
services. The solicitation will provide for up to 9,000 labor hours of
engineering services in support of the Textron Lycoming TF40B Series
Gas Turbine Component Improvement (CIP) Program and up to 12,000 labor
hours of Maintenance Engineering and Technical reviews, evaluations,
investigations, surveys, and technical data reviews and updates in
connection with the Textron Lycoming TF40B Series Gas Turbine
Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Program. This work will be performed
during FY98, with options for 4 additional years. Allied Signal is the
only company that possesses the necessary technical data, expertise,
equipment, and proprietary information necessary to perform these
requirements. No other source has the technical qualifications and
resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other
suppliesor services satisfy the Navy's requirements. Companies
