The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) hereby gives notice of its intent to issue a sole source purchase order under a simplified acquisition procedure to Oracle Support Services for technical support associated with the Bureau's existing dBASE/Xbase version of the Access Control System (ACS) which is currently being converted to Oracle Form and Oracle Database. Services shall include Designer/Developer 2000 tools and the Oracle 7.3 or later database such as Designer 2000 Windows Full Use Bronze Support, Designer 2000 Win95 Full Use Bronze Support, Developer 2000 Client Windows Full Use Bronze Support and Developer 2000 Client Win95 Full Use Bronze Support. No solicitation document exists. Prospective contractors should submit cost and technical data to be evaluated. Interested firms must indicate their ability to satisfy the requirement within 15 days of this notice. Interested firms will be considered only if they respond with clear and convincing documentation that they are capable of meeting or exceeding the requirement stated herein at a cost sufficiently more advantageous than the contractor named. If no response is received within 15 days of this announcement, an award will be made to Oracle Support Services.
